Harissa Mayo

If you like mayo with a kick, this is for you!

I used the mayo on burgers and then for a turkey sandwich!  Excellent. Add the harissa in small amounts to get the right amount of heat.

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons store-bought harissa paste (or more or less depending on how spicy you want it; test the heat as you add the paste)

1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper


Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, harissa, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and cumin together in a bowl and stir with a whisk to combine. Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper as desired. Refrigerate and serve smeared on sandwiches/burgers.
